On 15 January 2025, Supreme Decree 001- 2025-MINAM was published, amending Supreme Decree No. 001-2024-MINAM and dictating other provisions for the management of solid waste activities ("Supreme Decree").
The purpose of the Supreme Decree is to establish a new deadline for owners of solid waste management operations to submit corrective environmental management instruments. This aims to ensure the adequate final disposal of solid waste and the recovery of degraded areas, in line with the objectives of the National Environmental Policy.

It must be submitted to the Ministry of Environment, with a copy to the Environmental Assessment and Control Agency (OEFA).
