Through this amendment, the right to receive this allowance is extended to workers who have children of legal age with severe disability, duly certified, unless they receive the Non-Contributory Pension for Severe Disability.
Consequently, as of this modification, the right to receive the equivalent of 10% of the legal minimum wage as a family allowance is granted to the following workers:
- Workers who have one or more children under the age of 18
- Workers who have children who have reached the age of majority and are pursuing higher or university studies until they finish said studies, for a maximum of six years after reaching the age of majority
- Workers who have one or more children, over 18 years of age, with severe disability, certified by the National Health Authority, unless they receive the Non-Contributory Pension for Severe Disability
