The Baker McKenzie Industrial Relations and Collective Rights team are delighted to share their three-part on-demand vlog series, where they take a deeper dive into the new Labour government's proposals, including trade union recognition and trade union access in the workplace, changes to the collective redundancy regime and fire and rehire, and other industrial action and other collective rights issues

In our first episode, Jon Tuck and Jess Bowden discussed Labour's proposals in relation to trade union recognition and trade union access in the workplace and provide insights into what organisations can start thinking about before consultations open.
In our second episode, Richard Cook and Megan Clarkson Bowly discuss Labour's proposals in the “New Deal” which bring significant changes to the current industrial action landscape, including secure and private electronic balloting for trade unions, the repeal of the Trade Union Act 2016, and changes to the rules on blacklisting.
In our third and final episode of the series, Olivia McIntosh and Daisy Anderson discuss Labour's proposals in relation to wider collective rights issues, such as the collective redundancy regime, fire and rehire, and other proposals around facility time, new rights and protections for union officials and members and collective grievances.
