Effective 1 July 2025, the Department of Business Development (DBD), the Ministry of Commerce will accept applications for any corporate registration of private limited companies only through its electronic registration system, referred to as 'DBD Biz Regist'. Paper applications will no longer be accepted. Authorized directors will have the option to sign registration documents either with wet-ink or electronic signatures. Companies may be required to provide additional information or documents before submitting the registration documents through DBD Biz Regist.
To facilitate the registration process, the DBD has launched the DBD Biz Regist system for private limited companies to prepare and submit corporate registration applications online. Effective 1 July 2025, companies must use the DBD Biz Regist system to prepare the registration documents for signing. These documents can be signed with wet-ink signatures or electronically through designated applications such as DBD e-Service and ThaiD. While submissions can be made online via the DBD Biz Regist system, the registration process at the DBD may take more than one day to complete. Furthermore, companies making corporate registrations may need to provide additional information or documents, such as the existing directors' dates of birth and copies of their ID cards or passports, before submitting the registration documents through DBD Biz Regist. The DBD call this requirement the data cleansing/updating process, which ensures the DBD has the most up-to-date corporate information.
