Vietnam: New antidumping investigation against colorless float glass originating from Indonesia and Malaysia

In brief

On 6 June 2025, the Trade Remedy Authority (TRA) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) (together, TRA-MOIT) received a petition for an antidumping investigation (AD) relating to colorless float glass under HS codes 7005.29.20 and 7005.29.90 originating from Indonesia and Malaysia.

The petitioners include Chu Lai Float Glass Joint Stock Company, Ha Long Float Glass Joint Stock Company, Phu My Ultra Clear Float Glass Co., Ltd and Vietnam Float Glass Company Limited.

On 18 July 2025, the MOIT issued Decision No. 2093/QD-BCT to officially conduct the investigation with a case code of AD22.

A registration form in Vietnamese for related parties needs to be sent to the TRA-MOIT within 60 working days from the effective date of the investigation decision (no later than 14 October 2025).

  1. Notable investigation timeline
  • Within 15 days from the issuance date of the investigation decision, the TRA will release the investigation questionnaires (i.e., no later than 2 August 2025).
  • Related parties, including the petitioners, other domestic producers, foreign manufacturers, foreign exporters and importers of the investigated products, as well as any other interested parties, are encouraged to complete and submit the questionnaires to the TRA.
  • Related parties must submit their investigation questionnaire responses to the TRA within 30 to 60 days from the receipt date. The receipt date is deemed to be seven days after the TRA's delivery date.
