Argentina: ENACOM repeals ITC Services' pricing regulations

Through Resolution No. 13/2024 ("Resolution"), the National Communications Authority (ENACOM) repealed certain resolutions that regulated the fixing of prices of information and communication technology services ("ITC Services").

Pursuant to Decree No. 302/2024, the National Executive Power deregulated ITC Services, modifying Argentine Digital Law No. 27,078 and repealing Decree No. 690/2020, which eliminated the power of ENACOM to regulate prices. The Resolution seeks to promote the expansion of services, fostering a more competitive environment in the ITC industry.

To regulate such elimination, the Resolution repealed these resolutions that regulated prices of ITC Services, including telephony, internet and cable TV services: ENACOM No. 1,466/2020, No. 27/2021 (ratified by Resolution ENACOM No. 170/2021); No. 28/2021 (ratified by Resolution ENACOM No. 163/2021); No. 203/2021; No. 204/2021 (ratified by Resolution ENACOM No. 588/2021); No. 862/2021; No. 2. 187/2021 (ratified by Resolution ENACOM No. 275/2022); No. 725/2022 (ratified by Resolution ENACOM No. 1,174/2022); No. 1,754/2022; No. 2,393/2022; No. 2,494/2022 (ratified by Resolution ENACOM No. 409/2023); No. 557/2023; and No. 323/2021.
